Due to Hunting Season, We will only be riding on Sundays in Nov. and the first two weeks in Dec.

Rivers Edge Outdoors is an Offroad Motorcycle Riding Club. We have harescramble type trails. All trails are marked and one way. We have a couple harescramble races each year. We have an eight mile loop for the race course and a five mile loop for ez riding. If just starting out we have fifty acres of open fields for ez riding as well. Primitive camping is allowed and fishing in the Pigg River.

All riders must be Club Members to ride. All riders must sign in each time they come. Forms will be in the black tool box adjacent to the stable. Please see additional information below about sign in and guest.

REGULAR PRICING AND GENERAL INFO:

Annual membership fee is $125 for individuals and $175 for a family. Membership runs from October to October. We will prorate each membership. Membership fee will be reduced by $10/month so all memberships will renew on the same date.

You may download the Registration Form and Annual Waiver from this web site and mail it in with your check. Please write checks to Rivers Edge Outdoors LLC and mail to Rivers Edge Outdoors LLC, 300 Crossbow Drive, Chatham, VA 24531. Note: For the family membership fill out a registration form and waiver for each member. Minors must fill out minor waiver and parents must also sign.

In effort to recruit new members, Existing Club Members may bring guest. Guest are eligible for a $20 One Day trial membership. (Limit one trial membership per guest per year.) One day trial memberships are also available to the general public (by appointment only) to determine if they would like to purchase the annual club membership. Limit one trial membership per year. The trial membership fee ($20) will apply to the annual club membership fee if purchased on the same day. All forms must be complete in their entirety. Assistance can be obtained from existing club members.

Rivers Edge Outdoors is Chatham Virginia's premier spot to enjoy outdoor fun. They are currently accepting members for BIKES ONLY. They offer thrilling motorcycle trails. Any QUAD RIDERS that are interested may send Lewis an email and he will put them on a list to see how many are interested. Their previous business was about 85% bikes. They will determine at a later date if the club will be opening to Quads.

Different from other cross country trails, Rivers Edge Outdoors has trails that offer views of mountains, rivers and streams. Eight miles of single track bike trails. The single track is a Harescramble type trail. They have 250 acres of land with fifty acres of open pasture land for those who are just learning. There is also five miles of farm roads for EZ riding. The total combined mileage of trail is about twenty miles. If you like to leave the ground, Rivers Edge Outdoors has a motocross track where you can get plenty of air.

TRAIL TYPES:

All trails are clearly marked with colorful directional signs. Trails are one-way. To ensure each rider is on the correct path, trails are also marked by skill level signs. Trails here are suited for all levels of riders. In fact, many special events are held at River Edge Outdoors including Cross Country Races, Group Night Rides, Poker Run, Hare Scramble Trail Races, and Dealer/Factory Expos.

DRESS CODE:

All riders must meet stringent dress codes. Created for your safety and protection, all riders must wear helmets.
Additionally, when trail riding, eye protection and over the ankle boots are required. For additional personal protection a chest protector, gloves, long sleeve shirt and riding pants are suggested.

OTHER ACTIVITIES:

Even if not a rider, Rivers Edge Outdoors offers something for everyone. Whether choosing to ride or watch, after a day of riding, take advantage of other activities like canoeing and fishing in the Pigg River and on-site, primitive camping. PRICING AND HOURS OF OPERATION:

Annual Membership Fee, individual $125, family $175. Once you register, sign the annual waiver and pay the fee, there is no additional daily riding fee. We need to know who is on the property at all times. Each rider must sign the waiver every time they come out. (insurance requirement)

There is no additional fee for primitive camping. Campers must register their entire party. If interested in camping just email lewis@RiversEdgeOutdoorsLLC.com to let us know you plan to be on the property overnight. All persons interested in fishing must have a valid VA fishing license.

As a Club, Rivers Edge Outdoors' riding hours are 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. Riding season lasts year-round, seven days a week, however during deer hunting season in November and first two weeks in December, trails are open for riding on Sundays only. During Spring turkey hunting season in April trails will be open for riding after 12:00 on Saturdays. Trails may be closed for maintenance and special events.
